A photograph is but a festive celebration of the moment eternalized-a breath of eternity.

Travels in particular,<<converse>>in a privileged way with photography; for they reenforce the desire to connect with the present and the images trigger the memory,condesing the lived experience.

Spiro Lazarou photographs are the result of the repeated travels, this past decade ,to his own privileged place of photographic quest.

But, if we name the place we are in danger of misinterpreting the photographers intentions,wich are not to offer us the panorama of a city through the eyes of its occasional visitor, but to collect visual chips-small fragments of dreams ,desires and fears, composing s personal <<place>>.

An enigmatic gaze admits a human river.The pillar of a Victory,detached,ironic and dubious,otherwordly spaces, stoic glances,lonelly presences,tender implications and discreet humour.
